About us

The Butchers Shop is part of Underwood Meat Company, one of the largest independent catering butchers in the UK, which has been operating for almost 50 years.

Following an increased interest in our products from the general public we opened our first branch of The Butcher's Shop in Rotherham in December 2008.

​

The site, based at our factory outlet, was such a success that we have gone on to open branches in Barnsley, Dronfield, Eckington, Doncaster, Drakehouse Retail Park Sheffield, Snow Hill Wakefield, Stanningley Leeds and Clifton in Nottingham. It’s our mission to bring you a wide selection of quality meat products at everyday low prices.

As well as our fantastic shops, we bring our unbeatable prices right to your door from our online shop. We stock award-winning sausages, which we manufacture ourselves, as well as a large range of prime beef, lamb, pork, poultry and cooked meats. Our much-loved excellent value Family Meat Hamper goes a long way towards feeding the family through the week.
